Job purpose
The Materials Controller for East Surrey Hospital is responsible for the effective distribution and management of medical supplies within Theatres, ensuring that all goods are received, tracked, and delivered in compliance with procurement policies. This role involves:
· liaising with end users to address issues, maintain service levels, and implement cost-saving measures.
· managing the Just-In-Time purchasing system, oversees stock replenishment, and ensures quality control of inventory
· balancing financial considerations with service needs.
This will involve strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are essential for negotiating the use of consumables and optimising resource management.
The post holder will be expected to deliver a high quality, effective and safe service for East Surrey Hospital Theatres through embodying the Trust Values and excellent organisational and communication skills.
