Nursing Assistant

NHS AfC: Band 3

Job overview

We are looking for compassionate and caring individuals to join our permanent teams at East Surrey Hospital. We currently have vacancies across the Trust within the medical and surgical divisions.

We have a bespoke training package developed to meet the needs of both those new to care and those with previous experience.

We are committed to your development throughout your career and have apprenticeship pathways that can lead to roles such as Registered Nursing Associate and Registered Nurse.

All we ask is you bring with you your compassion, care, kindness and a can-do approach, which are attributes we know will help you to thrive in our organisation.

The nursing assistant role is a valued role within our teams, when we asked colleagues to describe the impact they have they used the following words:

  • Invaluable
  • Supportive
  • Inspiring
  • Irreplaceable
  • Essential

If you want to make a difference to our patients and their families every day and go home feeling proud, valued and knowing you have made an impact on someone’s day, we want to hear from you.

We offer you the opportunity to join one of our friendly teams, whereby you will be supported by both your manager and our education colleagues. This will enable you to grow and flourish to reach your full potential.

Our main hospital, East Surrey in Redhill, offers a full range of acute and specialist services and is also the closest trauma unit to Gatwick Airport.

We also provide outpatient, diagnostic, and planned care services at sites including The Earlswood Centre, Caterham Dene Hospital, Oxted Health Centre, Crawley Hospital, and Horsham Hospital.
