An exciting opportunity has become available within our Emergency Department to recruit Senior Healthcare Assistants in to our friendly team.

We are looking to recruit experienced Healthcare Assistant that have undergone further development and training. It is essential that you have previous acute experience within an emergency care setting.

The department has undergone a complete rebuild which finished July 2019. Since we have introduced new dynamic patient pathways to improve patient flow and experience that has resulted in the vast improvement of the department’s performance. Our team is motivated, energetic and we strive to deliver the highest standards of evidence based nursing care. We are passionate about Emergency Nursing and the service we provide our local community.

Main duties of the job

The duties involved are assisting the qualified nursing staff in delivering a high quality patient focused service. Safe application and removal of plaster of paris, ECG recording skills and basic wound care skills are essential.

The role involves elements of leadership and close working relationships with the Senior Nursing Team, so candidates must possess good communication skills and be able to use their own initiative.

The successful applicant must be able to work an internal rotation shift pattern of days, weekends and nights and be able to work in a fast pace environment.
