Band 5/6 Radiographer

Band 5 or 6

Job overview

We are looking for a friendly Rotational Radiographer to join our Radiology team at Frimley Park Hospital!

Our successful candidate will start in Plain Film, with the opportunity to rotate into CT, IR and Cath lab once they have completed our comprehensive induction programme!

This programme comes with mentorship from our existing team to ensure you feel part of the family.

Both newly qualified and more experienced Radiographers are encouraged to apply.

Our hospital has been chosen by the Government for the 'New Hospital Programme' and so our whole department, and hospital, will be being revamped in the coming years. We also have an exciting new purpose built diagnostic scanning centre opening this year, and a new Frimley South Imaging CDC planned for the future - it is a very exciting time to join Frimley Park Hospital!

Creating leaders and advancing our team is at the forefront of our departments strategy so we are looking for an individual who want to learn to be the future of Radiography. There is lots of room for Research, Advanced Practice and Clinical Education in our department, so the ideal candidate would be an individual who likes to innovate and think differently about services. Using our Trust values and our already established leadership team as mentors, we want to create and nurture future talent in both leadership and advanced practice.

Please note, the successful candidate will be offered a band 5 or a band 6 post, depending on level of experience.

Main duties of the job

Our radiographers rotate through Plain film x-ray to other modalities, such as CT, IR, Cath Lab, Mammos and Nuclear Medicine.

We are looking for individuals who want to work in a busy, but supportive department with an outstanding, friendly team around them.

We also closely collaborate with St Georges and Kingston University, providing clinical placement and support to Radiography Students from each year group. Our apprenticeship programme is also established so new radiographers will be helping to teach the future additions of the team.

Our Radiographers are committed to providing excellent care, while developing and learning new skills! Come and join us!

Just along from Junction 4 of the M3, we enjoy a superb location combining the very best of town and country with excellent links to London and the South Coast.

Thank you for considering Frimley Park Hospital for your future career!
