Whitchurch Community Hospital are looking to recruit a Housekeeper. The role involves ensuring the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained. The successful applicant will be responsible for stock ordering and distribution. They will be involved in ordering and serving of meals and ensuring the kitchen area on the ward is maintained in line with national and local guidelines. They will be required to undertake relevant audits and assessments.

  • To assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy working environment for patients and staff, supporting nutritional needs of patients.
  • To provide non-clinical support to the ward team.
  • To work as a member of the Estates & Facilities Department.
  • To work within a patient environment and have daily contact with patients and service users.
  • To ensure Infection Control guidelines are adhered to.
  • Times will be varied and could be early morning, day or early evening hours to suit the needs of the service being conducted in the specific area.
  • To work as part of the ward team, including attending necessary meetings, feeding back relevant information to support a safe and smooth running of the ward.
