Job overview
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to be appointed as a Support and Delivery Centre Administrator
This post will be fixed term for 12 months to provide maternity cover.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills, have a positive and flexible approach to the needs of the Service, be motivated, ready for the next challenge and enjoy working as part of a very busy team.
The post may close early if sufficient applications are received.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have the following roles and responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior staff within Health and Care Research Wales
- Act as the first point of contact, deal with queries, correspondence, emails and telephone calls from stakeholders across the Health and Care Research Wales infrastructure and beyond including other NHS and Social Care staff and members of the public in a professional manner, passing on queries to the relevant team member in a timely way
- Undertake a range of administrative duties, including secretariate services, diary management, photocopying, printing and managing incoming and outgoing post and parcels
- Work with other Support and Delivery Centre Administrators to provide an effective service across the organisation, dealing with visitors and being flexible to cover other Administrators’ general duties as co-ordinated by the Services Manager.
- Contribute as appropriate to other duties by mutual agreement with line manager.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to A level or AS level or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Training at NVQ Level 3, RSA 3, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and experience of general IT systems including Microsoft Office (to include Outlook, Word and Excel), database management and finance systems
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and experienced in implementing processes to comply with the principles of the Data Protection Act
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience of working at an administration level in a relevant setting
- Significant experience of efficient methods for the management of stakeholder enquiries, diary management, meeting and event support, document management, project support and general office support
- Demonstrable experience of taking and producing high quality minutes
- Experience of successfully working for multiple teams in a busy and demanding environment
- Demonstrable experience in prioritising and managing own workload
- Experience in prioritising daily and ongoing tasks to meet both routine and non-routine deadlines
