Main duties of the job
Main Duties include:
- Assisting the planning and delivery of the Trainee Pharmacist foundation year programme within the Trust.
- Developing newly qualified pharmacists and supporting them in undertaking a post graduate qualification such as the clinical diploma.
Effectively contributing to the training of pharmacy staff and other health care professionals. - Acting as a professional role model and mentor in clinical pharmacy practice to trainees and newly qualified pharmacists / technicians.

Knowledge Requirements
Essential criteria
- Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge gained through a Pharmacy degree equivalent to a Masters level knowledge.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD + learning
- Mandatory training requirements of all relevant professional bodies.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching pharmaceutical knowledge to other pharmacy staff
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- A Pharmacy degree i.e. equivalent to Master levels knowledge.
- Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Diploma or MSc in clinical pharmacy gained through post-graduate study or equivalent experience including the CPPE Primary care pharmacy education pathway
