Essential criteria

Qualified Pharmacy Technician registered (or has ability to register) with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Evidence of commitment to ongoing learning and personal development

Desirable criteria

Management and/or training qualifications, or equivalent experience demonstrated by acting in a role responsible for managing staff, services or resources

Experience

Essential criteria

Validated Pharmacy accuracy checker, or able to work towards this.
Knowledge and understanding of the Pharmacy Dispensary Lead Technician role and responsibilities within a hospital pharmacy.
Knowledge of Pharmacy stock control and management systems.
Some supervisory or staff management experience.
Experience of prioritising workload and flow.

Desirable criteria

Experienced in all areas of Pharmacy gained through rotation.
Ability to train individuals and small groups.
Experience or knowledge of rota writing.

Communication & Relationship skills

High level of interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).
