Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient therapy team at Newark Hospital.

You will collaborate with specialist clinicians as part of a dedicated MDT, working across Sconce Ward and Castle Ward catering to a diverse range of patient profiles with subacute, and rehabilitation needs.

The successful applicant should demonstrate a passion for person-centred care and possess an interest in  rehabilitation, supported by experience in applying Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions in clinical practice – experience that can be effectively transferred to this area.

Furthermore, we are seeking an individual who is not only enthusiastic and highly motivated, but also possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Underpinning theory and professional knowledge acquired through diploma/degree

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HPC registration
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of further study

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Broad experience in general occupational therapy application
Desirable criteria
  • Supplemented by short courses and CPD

Contractual

Essential criteria
  • Travel between different OT departments at Kings Mill, Mansfield and Ashfield Community hospitals / PCTs
