Senior Dietitian

Band 7

Job overview

An exciting opportunity to join our innovative and dynamic eating disorders service for children & young people in Northamptonshire.

We are looking for an experienced dietitian who has experience of working with children and young people with eating disorders and has knowledge of ARFID and appropriate dietetic interventions and strategies.

We strive to support and develop our staff and are committed to working together to improve the future of our service, not only for patients and carers, but also for our staff.  You will have access to clinical supervision within the dietetic team and the wider CEDS MDT.

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) has been rated “Outstanding” by the CQC in our last two inspections.  If you have what it takes to help us to continue to be Outstanding and beyond please apply to this exciting opportunity, which is not to be missed

Main duties of the job

You will be working as an autonomous practitioner, will have excellent dietetic assessment skills and be able to create dietetic interventions that are linked into the wider MDT care plans.   You will be involved in developing care pathways, will work closely with the MDT to improve patient care and experience, be passionate about behaviour change approaches and lead on service improvement projects.   You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use different approaches flexibly to meet the needs of our patients and promote engagement.  The caseload will be challenging but management approaches will be shared and discussed with the MDT.

Working for our organisation

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

NHFT promotes a culture of learning to improve the care and safety of our patients and staff, which focuses on people who enable our Trust to be ‘outstanding’ by supporting opportunity, innovation, development and growth.
