Job overview

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is looking for an exceptional and highly motivated Senior Biomedical Scientist for a busy Andrology department based at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.

Main duties of the job

The Andrology Department processes samples using both manual and automated methodologies. The service is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189.

You will be responsible for the general day to day operation of the Andrology department and lead a small team to produce consistently high quality results.

You will represent the Andrology service at a range of meetings both internally and at national Andrology networks and provide expertise to achieve high standard care to our patients.

We would also welcome applications from enthusiastic staff currently employed at Band 6 level who are  undertaking or are willing to undertake an MSc, Higher Specialist Portfolio or other Level 7 qualification and for these posts we will appoint at Annex 21.
