Salford Care Organisation are delighted to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised individual who possesses excellent communication skills to join our innovative Podiatry department.

You will require HCPC registration and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the management and treatment of a wide range of foot conditions. 

We are a nationally renowned, friendly team committed to staff development and training and regularly partake in CPD, mandatory training and staff appraisal. The role will include working across both acute and community settings.

There are exciting opportunities to develop your skills with our well established biomechanics and high risk / multidisciplinary teams.

We welcome applications from current final year students due to graduate in summer 2025

Main duties of the job

  • Responsibility for Patient Care includes monitoring, diagnosis and 
    investigations of our High Risk patients including routine treatment clinics, Emergency Clinics and wound-care
  • To produce individual treatment plans and podiatry interventions for patients who may require diagnosis and interpret results which may require onward referral
  • Undertake a rotation into supported development clinics in Nail Surgery, Advanced Vascular Assessments, New Patient Triage and Biomechanics
  • Responsibility for a Domiciliary caseload  within Residential or Private Nursing Homes and in the client’s own home
  • To maintain clear, accurate and full patient records

Qualifications/Registration

Essential criteria
  • Degree in Podiatric Medicine
  • HCPC
  • Local anaesthesia certificate

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Broad knowledge of routine and high-risk patient care (assessment, diagnosis and treatment/management) e.g. diabetes, peripheral vascular disease and wound care. Gained through graduate study and work experience/clinical placement
  • Good knowledge of biomechanics
  • Work as a member of a team
