Job overview
We require a highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual to work as a Phlebotomist.
Phlebotomist provide high standard of cleanliness which is imperative in our daily routine.
Main roles include taking patients bloods and communicating with patients.
We are hiring for the following hours:
- 8 hours per week (Saturday and Sunday morning 4 hours each day)
Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you to settle within the team. Regular feedback and one-to-ones will be provided by your manager to ensure that you stay happy in your job.
It is essential that you are able to work in an orderly and systematic manner, possess good literacy, numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
You should have a caring attitude, as well as the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Previous experience of working in a hospital setting would be advantageous to this role, however in-house training will be provided.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Care Certificate either upon appointment or within 12 weeks of commencement
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare or a Level 2 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship
Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with members of the public or a desire to work in the Health Service
- Understanding of routine work procedures gained through a short induction period and on the job training
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within a health or social care environment
- Experience of working within a team
Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT skills
