The Community Engagement Officer plays a pivotal role in driving the NHS Trust's commitment to public involvement and community engagement. Reporting to the Health Service Research Manager and PPI Lead, this position is integral to the delivery of the Trust’s public involvement and community engagement strategy, actively shaping how the Trust collaborates with its local communities, stakeholders, and patients to enhance NHS research outcomes. The post holder will engage with a broad spectrum of community groups, fostering inclusive partnerships and co-production at all levels of research and innovation (R&I), in line with national priorities and guidelines set by figures such as Lord O’Shaughnessy. This role requires both strategic thinking and operational delivery to promote research engagement, ensure that diverse communities are heard, and ensure the research is responsive to local needs.
