An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our unique and vibrant therapy team at the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Band 6 acute rotation. The rotations happen on a 9 monthly basis across the following clinical teams:

 

Vascular and Amputees

Trauma and Orthopaedics

Hand Therapy

Health Services for Older People

Rapid Response / A&E

Acute Stroke and Neurology

Complex Medical

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate is required to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. You should have proven experience of working in an acute hospital setting.

Education & professional Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • HPC Registration in OT
Desirable criteria
  • Member of Specialist OT Section group

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Post-graduate work experience as an Occupational Therapist, including working with patients in relevant clinical areas
  • Experience of working as an OT with patients with dementia
  • Experience of working as an OT with patients with Neurological conditions.
  • Experience of working in an inpatient physical setting
  • Experience of working in an acute setting
  • Experience of a hospital based Occupational Therapy Service, including working with an MDT.
