Band 8b

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our dynamic and energetic service as Clinical Lead of Oxleas CAMHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST) within the London Borough of Bexley.

Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting National initiative, working in collaboration with education settings, to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in response to the government’s Green Paper: Transforming children and young people’s mental health provision.

Main duties of the job

As Clinical Lead, you will be responsible alongside the Team Manager for ensuring high quality and safe service delivery, supporting the team to provide a clinically safe and responsive mental health and wellbeing service to children, young people and families within a number of local primary and secondary education settings.

You will work in close partnership with education colleagues, local authority and partner agencies and will develop strong working relationships with senior clinical, professional and managerial leads within Oxleas CAMHS and the wider Trust.

The service has recently expanded and is developing as a service in its own right in Oxleas CAMHS. The Clinical Lead and Team Manager will be leading the team through this change to achieve its ambitious goals and continue to improve the MHST service in Bexley.
