We require an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to train as a  Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT).

Applicants must possess a minimum of 4 GCSE’s grade 9-4 or equivalent which must include Maths, English and 2 Science subjects (to include Chemistry) to meet the entry requirements for the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles & Practice for Pharmacy Technicians (Dual or Triple Science including Chemistry is acceptable).

You will receive training in a wide range of pharmaceutical skills including the provision of pharmaceutical care to both In-patients and Out-patients. You will dispense prescriptions, undertake over the counter sales, provide counselling to patients on the use of their prescribed medication, and participate in medicine reconciliation duties.

The successful candidate will attend College on a day release basis for two years. Protected study time is allocated but a commitment to undertake study in your own time is expected.

This is an Advanced Apprenticeship scheme therefore funding for training can only be provided to those who do not hold a level 4 qualification or above ie a degree in relevant Pharmacy related subject area.
