Job overview
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic nurse with a strong work ethic and a solid clinical background in Urology to join our well-established Urology Nursing service, as a Nurse Cystoscopist at band 7 level depending on experience.
The post holder is responsible for delivering expert nursing care and providing highly specialised advice within the speciality of urology services and will co-ordinate, perform and evaluate the delivery of a nurse led cystoscopy service.
To work at a band 7 level you will need to have gained experience at Band 6 in an Urology, Surgical or Oncology setting.
This post is also open to candidates starting as b6 and developing into a band 7 once training has concluded.
The post will involve across-site working and a degree of flexibility to meet the needs of the service. We currently operate a Monday to Friday service and are happy to consider flexible working pattern providing the needs of the service are met.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve working as a Nurse Cystoscopist performing independent surveillance /diagnostic cystoscopy procedures within the individuals scope of practice.
The post holder is to provide high quality specialist nursing care and advice to patients requiring or undergoing cystoscopy investigation. To provide support and advice to patients, their families and carers.
Work closely with the Lead Nurse Cystoscopist to deliver Nurse led Cystoscopy service across the 3 sites of MTW.
The post holder will provide professional advice and to members of the multidisciplinary team and assist them by providing clinical knowledge and support to deliver element of specialist care.

All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date had been agreed.
Following your corporate induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email [email protected] if this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
