Job overview

This is an opportunity to work in a supportive team in a very busy DGH with a great reputation for training.
You will be working alongside several core trainees and will have opportunities to experience colorectal and upper GI surgery in addition to emergency general surgery.

Main duties of the job

  • Ward work and supervision of F1s
  • On call duties and support of SAU
  • Outpatient clinics under supervision
  • Theatre sessions under supervision
  • Contribution to governance and M&M
  • Involvement in QI projects

You will need to have completed Foundation training or equivalent and be capable to managing the surgical take at core level with support from a registrar and consultant.
