Job overview
The Project Support Manager will provide project management, leadership and support to Transformation and Innovation projects within the Provide Group.
They will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to completion and beyond, the projects may range from departmental projects to group-wide projects, sometimes crossing into other external organisations. The Project Support Manager will lead regular project meetings, resolving issues as they arise and escalating these to Senior Project Managers or Directors as required.
Main duties of the job
· Take lead responsibility for providing assurance to the Director for Programmes and Digital Development. This will include the production of regular highlight reports and project plans.
· Ensure projects risks, opportunities and issues are appropriately managed and resolved or escalated and lessons learned are captured.
· Provide advice and potential solutions to mitigate project risk, learning is maximised, and best practice is adopted.
· Ensure that project documentation is up to date and progress reports are provided in a timely manner.
· Production of Business Cases, Benefits Analysis and other project documentation as required.
· Responsible for the development and maintenance of databases required for regular reports.
· To facilitate effective liaison and relationships with people at all levels, including a broad range of key internal and external stakeholder organisations.
· Arrange and participate in relevant internal and external meetings which may be highly complex, sensitive, political, and contain contentious information with the aim of providing assistance to the members.
