Job overview
To provide and efficient and professional reception service following departmental and Trust policies and procedures
- To be familiar with and to comply with the Trust's policies and procedures, which are available via line managers in each department and on the Trust intranet. Failure to adhere to this instruction will be regarded as serious misconduct and may lead to disciplinary action.
- Be aware of and adhere to the Trust’s infection control policy. Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for a main receptionist at St Richards Hospital.
To maintain an efficient reception service to visitors, patients and staff.
To answer telephone enquiries regarding patients location in a responsive and professional manner, ensuring requests are dealt with quickly and efficiently
Direct patients and visitors to Wards and Departments
To carry out any other duties that may be required of the post in order for the Main Reception Services to be carried out properly and effectively
Main reception is open Monday - Friday 08:00 - 20:00 and Saturday and Sunday 09:00 - 17:00
There are two positions available
Position 1 is 16 hours a week, Monday, Tuesday 08:00-14:00 and Saturday 13:00-17:00
Position 2 is 22 hours a week, Wednesday, Thursday , Friday 14:00-20:00 and Sunday 13:00-17:00
All applicants must be able to work all the required position shifts. Please indicated on your application which position number would be of interest.
Flexibility to cover other shifts would be desirable.
