With a budget of around £365m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

We are offering a rewarding, challenging job in within Nutrition and Dietetic Services at the University Hospitals of North Tees and Hartlepool working as the clinical lead for neonatal patients and their families.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed dietitian to join the Nutrition and Dietetic team of dietitians and dietetic support workers covering the North Tees and Hartlepool area.
The Nutrition and Dietetic Department are supported by access to excellent IT facilities and an admin hub who provide administrative and clerical support. The department is involved in clinical pathways, audit, and student training. We facilitate student placements for undergraduate and post graduate Nutrition and Dietetic students.
Main duties of the job
As a clinical lead dietitian for neonatal care, to be an active member of the neonatal team at North Tees and Hartlepool & Peterlee; working to deliver, develop, evaluate and audit the service. To be an educator for health professionals/students involved in the care of children and adults. The post will also work within the paediatric and adult dietetic teams to deliver dietetic care to children and adults as part of the wider nutrition and dietetic service, supporting junior staff to develop clinical skills in dietetics.
Continuous professional development is actively supported in the department and there will be opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in other specialist areas according to individual and service needs.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Honours Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent qualification with relevant post graduate qualification e.g. Masters Degree
- HCPC Registration
- Paediatric Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of highly specialist practice in paediatrics demonstrated via portfolio
- Evidence of advanced clinical reasoning with complex patients
- Evidence of delivering education/ training at regional / local level to clinical and multi-professional groups
- Experience of leading a team
- Supervision of Nutrition and Dietetic and support staff
Skills and aptitude
Essential criteria
- Evidence of highly specialist assessment , diagnosis and treatment skills in dietetics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written
- Leadership and team building qualities
- Evidence of commitment to audit, and implementation of evidence based practice.
