Job overview

The Audiology service based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital is under going some exciting new developments and as a result we are offering the opportunity for two successful applicants to train as Associate Audiologists.

 This is a 15 month apprenticeship course and upon successful completion of the training you will achieve a band 4 position within the department as an Associate Audiologist.

 

Main duties of the job

As an Associate Audiologist you will perform hearing tests on ENT clinics, fit digital hearing aids and support junior members of the Audiology team as well as working alongside Audiologists within the Trust and at some community locations across North Derbyshire.

Qualifications & Training

Essential criteria
  • 1 x Level 3 qualification e.g. an A level, B’Tec level 3 or equivalent in science
  • 5 x Level 2 qualification including Maths and English grade 4 or above e.g. GCSE grade C or above
  • Equivalent demonstrable knowledge or experience
Desirable criteria
  • Experiential learning within a science or healthcare setting

  • Experience of communicating with the public
