Main duties of the job
- As a clinical specialist you will provide high standard comprehensive therapy assessment and treatment service to patients with complex presentation related to orthopaedics and some arthritic conditions.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to delegated staff.
- To demonstrate skills and knowledge utilising splinting materials to fabricate post surgery hand splints including resting splints and functional splints.
- To demonstrate an awareness of wound care and management post surgery.
- To collaborate closely with the patient and members of the multidisciplinary and multi-agency team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
- To continuously contribute to service development and innovation
- To work autonomously to manage a defined complex patient caseload whilst working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
