We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Clinical Skills Coordinator/Deputy Medical Education Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and implementation of clinical skills programs, ensuring high-quality training and support for our medical and physician associate students and staff. Your expertise will be crucial in managing educational resources, coordinating workshops, and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

The applicant should demonstrate they work well within a team, with experience of working in a clinical environment an advantage. Excellent communication skills and a knowledge of administrative procedures and excellent technology and digital IT skills are also required. Training on the set up and maintenance of skills and simulation equipment will be given.
The hours are full time and requires some flexibility.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the role will include:-
- Supporting the provision of high quality medical education through the co-ordination of clinical skills and simulation training
- Working with the Medical Education Teams and Universities to plan and prepare for teaching and learning which corresponds with relevant curricula and learning needs
- Identify opportunities to continually improve the service offered in order to make Hywel Dda the place to be for medical education and training
- undertaking management tasks involving business planning, managing people, financial management, service improvements and project development.
- producing and monitoring reports and undertaking checks on educational quality standards, being proactive in preventing issues occurring.
- providing leadership and motivating staff to provide high standards of work by acting as a positive role model and mentor.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services to almost 400,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
