Job overview
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator to join the Liaison Psychiatry team as part of Psychological Medicine, based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. This team provides an administration service between the hours of 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday.
This is an exciting position that supports a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of teamwork, have excellent attention to detail, be confident and willing to learn, able to find solutions to problems and able to cope under pressure.
The post involves data inputting of patient information, face to face and telephone contact with patients and clinical staff, writing letters and emails, and providing other general administrative support to the service and team.

The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, be well organised, have a sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under time restraints and pressure at times. We are looking for someone who can offer good support to our colleagues, be a team player and work together to manage workload.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Word processing of all forms of correspondence, reports and summaries that are required by the team.
Undertake diary management for clinicians and/or managers, as required.
Organise clinics and associated appointments for clinics, using appropriate brought forward systems to manage work.
Provide operational support to colleagues, as directed by Line Manager.
Inputting and updating service user information and service user/team activity on computerised information systems, creating service user notes where necessary and according to policy.

Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE standard.
- Good command of written English.
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Administration experience.
- Experience of working in a busy and demanding office/customer facing environment.
- Experience of planning and organising own workload and of staff within own span of control.
- Experience of supporting a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to manage email inboxes.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in the NHS.

- Good IT skills (MS Office).
