Job overview
An exciting development opportunity has arisen for staff working in a fast-paced dynamic environment who are ready to take the next steps in their career or for those already at a senior level looking for a change.
We require a Senior Administrator within NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Talking Therapies covering our Cambridge teams who will be based at the Newtown Centre in Huntingdon, please note this is not a remote position.
The Administration Team comprises of 6 administrators based in Cambridge, 3 administrators based at Newtown, 2 based at Fenland with an additional 3 administrators based in Peterborough. Travel to these other sites may be required of the post holder.
Main duties of the job
The Post holder will be required to provide senior administrative support and training to a range of staff, including line management of administrators taking operational responsibility for them, allocation of work, supporting the senior management team, assisting with recruitment, procurement, health roster, and to deputise in the absence of the Admin Team Lead.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Supervise a team of administrative staff including undertaking appraisals,
supervision, training and development and Band 3 and Band 2 staff.
Provide information and support to managers on the performance and conduct of members of staff and support with all informal and formal processes.
Allocate and supervise administration tasks delegated to other members of the administration team.
Maintain annual leave records for the team, liaising with line manager and other managers to ensure appropriate and continuing cover.
Support managers with the recruitment process and ensure that newly appointed staff under their local and Trust inductions.
Be responsible for organising and controlling own and others workload ensuring deadlines are observed and duties performed efficiently.
Work with Line Manager to lead on the introduction and proactive management of any new processes and initiatives.

Education / Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE grade A - C in English
- High standard of written English
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of training in leadership and management skills
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of staff supervision and management
- Demonstrate awareness of organisational policies and ability to translate into working practice.
Desirable criteria
- Organising, attending and taking minutes/notes at senior level meetings
- Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and appropriate maintenance and storage of records
- Secretarial/administrative experience in the NHS within clinical and/or corporate services.

- Demonstrate awareness of equality and diversity within the workplace.
