Job overview
To work as part of a multi -disciplinary team within the Radiology Department to support colleagues and patients providing excellent patient care.
Post holders will work across all areas of imaging including: Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Minor interventional, AE and general x-ray.
Post holders are expected to support the weekend/evening service in CT, MRI and ultrasound.
Main duties of the job
Use own initiative to manage and prioritise workload, based on clinical need and availability of appropriate staff/location and equipment. Liaise with other members of the team including Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers, nursing team and clerical staff.

Education, Qualification & Training
Essential criteria
- Education to ‘O’ Level/GCSE standard to include English Language.
- NVQ Level 2 in healthcare or imaging and/or equivalent experience or willingness to undertake the appropriate training.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a team
- Experience of working face to face with the general public in a very busy environment
- Previous experience of working with patients in a caring environment
- Experience of assisting sterile procedures
Special Circumstances

- Ability to travel to other sites.
