Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for somebody to join our integrated therapies admin team based at Bedford Hospital.
The post is 15 hours as a job share so please do apply if you are looing for full time or part time roles.
Main duties of the job
You will work in the therapies admin team to provide an admin support function for nutrition and dietetics, the lifestyle hub, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services. You will join the small but friendly team based in Beeden House at Bedford Hospital.
We are looking for somebody with previous experience working in an administrative role, preferably within healthcare or the NHS.
You will need good word processing skills, an excellent telephone manner and great communication skills. Experience using SystmOne or iPM would be an advantage.

1. To contribute to the day to day running of the therapies admin function.
2. To act as the point of access for patients, healthcare professionals and members of staff contacting the supported therapy services, ensuring enquiries are dealt with competently and in a polite and courteous manner and appropriate actions are taken.
3. To be responsible for the management of outpatient appointments for the supported therapy teams including cashing up clinics.
4. To occasionally deal with distressed individuals and adopt conflict resolution techniques to assist the individual with their concerns.
5. To use problem-solving skills to resolve issues that arise and escalate to the therapies admin team lead/senior administrative assistant where necessary.
