Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a physiotherapist to cover the Adult Mental Health and Adult Learning Disability Caseload across Conwy and Denbighshire. The post covers the mental health inpatient units (Bryn Hesketh and Ablett) as well as within people's own homes.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Please note - this is a part time post but we also have a part time post with our acute medical team in Glan Clwyd Hospital out to advert which could be combined with this post to create a full time post. You would need to apply for both posts and inform us that this would be your preference.

 

Main duties of the job

  • To carry out physiotherapy assessments and treatments; developing individualised therapeutic treatment programmes for a specialised caseload in the relevant clinical area. Patients may include those physical and psychological problems in area of speciality; some of whom may have a level of complexity.
  • To ensure a high standard of care for each patient working with patients, families or carers, multi-agency teams and disciplines involved.
  • To supervise, teach and appraise peers, physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, students and other members of the MDT. 
  • To train and supervise patients, families or carers and staff from other disciplines or agencies to carry out programmes of are devised by the therapist.
