Job overview
Applications are invited for the full time position Clerical Officer / Receptionist. The post holder will primarily be the first point of contact for the general public, staff, patients, carers who require assistance. A key part of the role is to provide administrative support to the Community Hospital with the successful applicant being based in Mold Community Hospital. This will also include working on a Saturday on a rota basis.
You will be required to cover other areas of Trust areas when needed.
The ability to speak Welsh is Essential for this role.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be highly organised, dedicated to customer care and motivated to deliver a high quality service. There will be a need to work on ones own initiative but also as part of a team.
The post holder must have a helpful and pleasant manner with an enthusiasm to do their upmost in achieving a patient’s expectations and requirements, making their clinical journey run as smooth as possible.
A flexible approach to this post is essential, as well as superb communications and ample computer skills. The post holder may at times be required to work within different departments/sites to meet the demands of the service.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- o GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English language or equivalent level of experience
- o IT or word processing qualification (e.g. RSA 2 or equivalent experience)
Desirable criteria
- o ECDL
- o NVQ Level 1 or equivalent in customer service
Experience
Essential criteria
- o Experience of using a computer system (e.g. GP clinical IT system)
- o Previous experience of working in a reception/office environment
- o Experience of working with the general public
Skills

- o Ability to input information onto a computer system with accuracy
- o Ability to work in a busy environment, and deal with a number of different tasks simultaneously
- o Ability to communicate tactfully with patients
