Job overview

Responsible for: Providing support for the delivery of higher standard care to patients within the theatre complex, within the PACU. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the theatre.

  • To actively participate as a member of the Theatre PACU Team and be responsible for contributing to the efficiency of the department. Under supervision, to assist in delivering individualised care to patients.

Main duties of the job

To actively participate as a member of the Theatre/ Post Anaesthetic Care Unit team and be responsible for contributing to the efficiency of the department. Under supervision, to assist theatre staff by giving individualised care to patients. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Complete NVQ in Operating Department Support in 2.5 years
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ 2 in Care related subject
  • Manual handling
