Main duties of the job
About the Role
As an Assistant Specialty Manager, you will work closely with the Integrated Frailty Leadership Team to support the effective operational management of our frailty services, which include:
• Single Point of Access
• Hospital at Home
• Urgent Community Response
• Frailty Same Day Emergency Care
• Milford Integrated Care Hub
This is a varied and rewarding leadership role where you will:
✔ Oversee the day-to-day operations of services, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
✔ Analyse and report on service data to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
✔ Support workforce management, including recruitment processes and staffing plans.
✔ Drive service improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing transformation of care for older people.
✔ Build effective relationships with clinical teams, stakeholders, and senior managers.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuous professional development
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge to post graduate diploma level or equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable operational management experience within the NHS
- Knowledge of hospital at home and urgent community response service requirements as outlined by the DOH
- Knowledge of running reports from clinical EPR
- Knowledge & understanding of waiting lists
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of project management to facilitate service change
- Knowledge of NHS Data Protection legislation, Information Governance, Caldicott guidance
- Experience of managing /developing teams
- Evidence of comprehension of managing budgets
- Detailed knowledge of the service requirements & currently issues within the department
Applicant requirements
