Therapy Assistant
About the role
We are seeking a Therapy Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team to assist in the assessment and implementation of therapy treatment programmes and person-centred care plans for children and young people with complex needs who live and learn at St Elizabeth’s.
Working closely with our Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists here on site, you will;
· Prepare, support and facilitate bespoke therapy activities and interventions for our service users
· Work with our health, education and care colleagues across the service to encourage learners to achieve their potential and develop skills
· Participate in the evaluation of our service provisions and activities, making necessary adjustments to service users plans according to their changing needs and abilities
· Monitor and track the progress of our children and young people
About you
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest and motivation to work with children and young people with complex needs. Excellent communication and observation skills are a must as our therapists play a key role in providing individualised support to our service users. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a care, education or therapy role, however full training will be provided as part of your induction.
