HSSIB is an independent arm's length body, of the Department of Health and Social Care. Our purpose is to improve patient safety across healthcare through safety investigations.

We are recruiting two Safety Insights Analysts to work as part of a dynamic Investigations and Insights Team, to deliver investigations that drive improvements in patient safety across England. Reporting into the Head of Patient Safety Insights and working within multi-disciplinary teams, you would be responsible for the identification and analysis of patient safety issues in the healthcare system; propose potential investigations for HSSIB to investigate and present the evidence to a panel; engage with a wide range of stakeholders including patients, families, healthcare staff, providers, integrated care boards, and national organisations; use research methods to gather and analyse safety intelligence from a wide range of sources; undertake qualitative analysis of written information and interview data to identify safety themes, and apply safety science methods; contribute to HSSIB investigations reviewing and corroborating safety intelligence and contributing to the writing of investigation reports.

We are looking for candidates with a strong academic background, with demonstrable experience applying research methods. We manage complex, sensitive patient safety data and emotional resilience is essential.
