Job overview

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, pro-active, and efficient individual to join the Theatre administration team.  This candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Theatre Manager, Theatre Matron and Theatre Team across all theatres in the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The post is advertised as 37.5hrs per week but we will consider a reduction in hours or a job share for the right candidate.

 

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be expected to undertake a range of different administrative duties to support the wider Theatre team.  The duties will include the handling of sensitive, confidential information, updating operating lists, supporting staff meetings, and organising training sessions.

The post holder must be a team player, well organised and enjoy a challenge, you would be expected to communicate internally and externally in a professional way, both in person, Teams and by telephone, to ensure all relevant communications are carried out in a timely and accurate manner. We are a fast-paced environment that requires an adaptable individual who can work independently, and respond to the demands of the department.

You must have a good standard of education and excellent organisational skills. Previous experience of working within the NHS would be an advantage.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
  • Up to GCSE standard for Maths and English or equivalent experience
  • Required to hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL
