Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Secretary within Wrexham Substance Misuse Services.

The post holder will provide an accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Local Authority, Third Sector, CAIS),   supporting   the provision of a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers.

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide an efficient high quality typing and administration service to support the secretarial team. Support the team in the management of patients’ medical case notes and effective filing system and supporting the patients along the defined patient pathway.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of general education / GCSE maths and English at grade C and above, or equivalent
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience or willing to work towards
  • L2 RSA / OCR or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continual personal development
  • Knowledge of secretarial role including progress chasing
