The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2024/2025 and will be implemented in November 2024 backdated to 1st April 2024 where applicable.
Job overview
The postholder will provide administrative support and secretarial duties for course administration of the resuscitation training programmes which include, but are not limited to, nationally approved courses ran on behalf of the Resuscitation Council UK and Royal College of Surgeons such as ALS and ATLS.
This will require the post holder to manage diaries, provide efficient and prompt secretarial support to the Resuscitation Services Department and Clinical Skills Team..
The postholder will source and provide information when required, to include report collation and analysis in line with local and national reporting. Working as part of the team the postholder will be the first point of contact for the team; . The postholder will also receive and welcome visitors. Provide organisational support to ensure the day to day running of the department.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To provide administrative support required to scope, plan and deliver a project, product, work package or work stream.
The postholder will undertake duties such as booking of Resuscitation Training for GP Surgeries, Clinics and Health Centres, Dental Practices, liaising with Dental School, Cardiff as well as others both internal and external to the Health Board as required.
Raise invoices and recharging, liaising with finance for payments as required.
Support the Resuscitation Officers by providing course organisation and coordination including pre-course, in course and post course; arranging course registration with regulatory body, organising resources, inviting lecturers, booking rooms, booking accommodation, course catering, ordering course manuals, preparation of packs and MCQ papers, ordering simulation aids, invigilating in course exams, ensuring teaching stations are in line with programme timings, post course financial reports, course director reports completed and submitted to relevant regulatory body, e.g. Resuscitation Council UK
