We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Physiotherapist to work as a Team Leader within the unscheduled care team in Wrexham and Chirk to cover a 12 month maternity leave.
The post-holder will be based at Wrexham Maelor and will be expected to carry a clinical caseload within the unscheduled care team. Some flexibility with regard to work area may be required due to staffing across these teams.
The post-holder will work alongside other team leaders and the management team to improve and develop Physiotherapy Services across the East Area.
Main duties of the job
As the team leader the post holder will support the physiotherapy management team by holding operational responsibility for their teams, including supervision, performance management, sickness absence management, staff appraisal, risk management and informal 'on the spot' resolution.
The post holder will hold a clinical case load, performing advanced clinical assessment of patients including those with highly complex presentations and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan carried out as an autonomous practitioner. Will have acquired specialist knowledge within clinical work area.
You will be supported in this role by the Physiotherapy leadership Team. Appropriate training and courses will be provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
