Job overview
Due to continued investment in the Pharmacy services, exciting opportunities have arisen for dynamic, motivated individuals to join our friendly team. Pharmacy is seen as a key resource within the clinical team and we are currently undergoing an extensive expansion of pharmacy roles to further establish our position within the clinical MDT.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated clinical pharmacists to join and expand our existing Band 7 Rotational Programme which includes rotations within various clinical service specialties.
These positions are ideal for pharmacists looking to utilise and develop existing clinical knowledge and prescribing skills, whilst also expanding leadership experience. You will be supported by Senior Pharmacists and will have opportunities to undertake additional learning and development where appropriate.
As a team, we have a strong commitment to advancing pharmacy clinical practice and embedding effective medicines optimisation systems into patient care. We are therefore looking for individuals with good organisational and communication skills who are keen to be involved in the further development of clinical services and can carefully challenge the status quo.
Main duties of the job
Rotations include Acute Medical and Surgical Services, Antimicrobial, Emergency Department, Community, Primary Care, Paediatrics , Mental Health, Aseptics, Cancer , Critical Care and NEWT Guidelines, Medicines Information and Prison Medicine.
Successful candidates will play an influential role in the patients care pathway whilst building upon proven clinical skills. The combination of responsibilities within the role will significantly facilitate your growth as a clinical pharmacy practitioner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
Essential criteria
- MPharm degree or equivalent
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Post Graduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience and/or qualifications
Desirable criteria
- Accredited or eligible to be accredited as a HEI Clinical Pharmacy diploma/MSc tutor
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- RPS member
Experience

- Broad post registration experience

Aptitude and Abilities
