Job overview

The Assistive technology Service assesses, installs, and monitors assistive technology equipment across predominantly B&NES, Bristol and South Glos. The service promotes the use of assistive technology across the organisation, encouraging individuals to consider assistive technology as a preventative measure to reduce reliance on care & support services. This is a self-funding paid for service.

The Assistive technology service is based at Warmley Business Park, Warmley, Bristol.

Core business hours are between 6am and 8pm across 5 days out of 7 days per week. Current normal working hours for this role are generally Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.  Not all services operate within the core hours but there may be future requirements for services to move to this arrangement

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the administration duties within the service. This includes all aspects of office work pertaining to the service.


To manage all aspects of invoicing for the Assistive technology Service, setting up, managing and checking direct debits.


To liaise with healthcare professionals and members of the public.


To prioritise work on a daily basis ensuring effective and efficient running of the Assistive technology Service in accordance with auditors guidelines.


To act in the absence of the Assistive technology lead in keeping all aspects of the service running which maybe for significant periods of time, at short notice throughout the week.
