We have a fantastic opportunity for the exciting role of People Advisor within our busy, supportive and dynamic People Operations Team. You will be an experienced professional or perhaps graduating from University with a degree in Human Resources management, ready to hit the ground running with energy, enthusiasm and ambition.
This role has a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of 3 days working on site at Great Western Hospitals.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a confidence and aptitude to -
- Deliver a visible HR service providing policy guidance to support managers to achieve compliance with key workforce targets.
- Take ownership of varied caseload and present risk-based options advice, in line with policy and employment legislation, across a range of employee relations matters.
- Support organisational change programmes and workforce transformation initiatives.
- Sustain personal levels of high performance and resilience, using good time management and prioritisation skills.
- Enjoy the autonomy of providing an HR advisory service to a Hospital Division – you will be a team player leading workforce reviews with managers, advising on appropriate HR interventions and providing support for investigation, disciplinary and appeal hearings.
- Present confidently to an audience and will enjoy developing and delivering training on absence, performance, appraisals and HR policies to enable line managers autonomy of practice.
- Deliver results under pressure, achieve deadlines and meticulous with recording progress through timeline accuracy and evidenced closure.
- Keep up to date with employment legislation, to align Trust policies and become competent in Job Evaluation.

Qualifications

- Live Membership of the CIPD or working towards
- Up to date knowledge of HR legal framework
- Exposure/Understanding of absence, performance, grievance, disciplinary management and change management.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Foundation Certificate in People Practice (CIPD)

- HR knowledge acquired through relevant training and experience to degree /diploma equivalent experience.
- Degree or general management qualification.
Experience

- Generalist HR experience
- Up to date knowledge of HR Best Practice
- Working in a challenging, busy HR environment with competing demands.
- Delivering front line advice and guidance to managers and staff on conditions of employment and employee relation issues including sickness absence, performance management, grievance and disciplinary investigations.
- Undertaking tasks, which demonstrate ability to work on your own initiative.
