Job overview
The postholder is responsible for assisting the therapists in providing a high standard of care to patients.
To treat patients referred by a therapist, according to set treatments goals, monitoring patient progress and adapting treatment as necessary. This involves reporting patient’s progress and informing therapists of any problems.
The therapy assistant is expected to undertake therapy tasks independently, following written or verbal instructions from a qualified therapist. Access to advice and support from a qualified therapist is available.
To undertake routine administrative and departmental tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Essential criteria
- An interest in working with people with neurological conditions

- Previous experience of working with older people
- Previous experience of working with people with neurological conditions

- Able to fulfil physical requirements of the post
An interest in working with groups and in teams

- Experience of team working

- Experience of leading group work
- Previous hospital working experience
Computer Skills

- To have an understanding of basic computer programmes such as word, excel
