We have an exciting opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic Risk and Assurance Administrator to join Yorkshire Ambulance Service’s Violence Prevention/Crime Reduction Team.

Team working is vital to achieving positive outcomes and you will be expected to work closely with colleagues in the department, across the organisation and external partners such as police and other NHS Trusts.

As a Risk and Assurance Administrator - Security you will be part of a team of administrators who work together to support the work of the Security function, including Violence Prevention and Crime Reduction.
You will carry out administration work as required by the Violence Prevention and Crime Reduction functions, primarily receiving and processing emails and conducting risk assessments in relation to incidents involving violence and aggression against Trust staff and damage to Trust property.

- Meeting administration for the directorate, teams and individuals
- Communicate complex and often highly sensitive information with regard to Data flag processes and YAS procedures to both internal and external stakeholders, not exhaustive to Safeguarding, Police and Probation Services
- Provide, receive and co-ordinate routine and complex information in regards to violence and aggression and medical flags
- Place, co-ordinate and manage data flags for the Frequent Caller Team and Safeguarding Team, highlighting concerns raised via the Data flag process
- Carry out assessments of risk based upon established methodology (THRIVE) and use this in the application of Data Flags
- Maintain records of data specific to Data Flagging, inclusive of the incident management system
- Extract and analyse information utilising IT systems to maintain references, evidence and patient identifiable information, systems including but not limited to Datix, SystmOne, CAD, Adastra and Cleric to identify and review risks associated with violence and aggression
- Investigate complex information requirements and provide assistance and advice as required on all violence and aggression issues
- Ensure all violence and aggression data flags are investigated in a timely manner to reduce risk by organising and maintaining effective procedures and filing systems for placing reviewing, updating and removing Data Flags
- Plan and provide agenda, data and minutes for Safer Responding Group as part of Data Flag policy review and levelling.

- Excellent communicator (both verbal & written) and a good telephone manner
- Ability to deal with an unpredictable workload ensuring key priorities and deadlines are met through effective time management
- IT literate and competent in the use of data bases, word processing packages, spreadsheets, Power-Point with an aptitude for learning specialist systems (such as Adastra, CAD, Cleric, Datix and Systmone) and ability to extract information and analyse trends
- Demonstrates integrity, understanding and maintenance of confidentiality and handling sensitive issues
- Ability to deal with people and difficult situations
Experience

- Significant experience in administrative systems
- Significant experience of producing letters, memos, agendas reports and notes
- Experience in use of spreadsheet and database systems
- Experience of handling confidential information
Qualifications

- Educated to GCSE Standard at Grade C or above in Mathematics and English
- Level 3 qualification in relevant field e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrable experience
