Job overview
The post holder will play a pivotal part in supporting the day-to-day work assigned in relation to all business matters across the directorate’s business areas. The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning, and service.

· An excellent knowledge of office systems and software to provide the level of secretarial administrative support required to do the job effectively.
· Support the portfolio of initiatives in demonstrating value for money for the current spend.
· Support the procurement processes with provision from central PMO.
· Identify and manage any business-related risks and issues.
· Ensure robust financial governance is in place.
· Support workstream leads in drafting business cases and management of approvals process.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Confidence and the ability to communicate with people at all levels, both within the organisation and externally.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

- Educated to a degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area

- Must be able to use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations with the aim of improving deliverables and compliance to policies
