Job overview

Our service assists clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  We require an enthusiastic, caring individual to monitor 34 clients across 3 blocks of flats.  Support worker experience  is essential. You must be confident lone working  and having knowledge of  mental health, domestic violence and used substances would be an advantage.  

Security experience is desirable. If you are confident in dealing with noise nuisance, challenging anti-social behaviour this rewarding job could be for you.  These services are set in East Leeds (LS9).
 
This role is 22.5 hours per week, working on a rota basis between the hours of 7pm and 7am involving working weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

  • Responding positively to customer requests and queries, efficiently offering solutions or recommendations
  • Completing concierge check lists, feeding back information, and completing incident reports if required
  • Developing and delivering effective administrative procedures
  • Ensuring that security of the service is maintained by completing hourly checks and constant monitoring of CCTV
  • Ensuring the safety and security of the building

The successful candidate will have;

  • Experience of security or working with vulnerable adults in a similar role is essential
  • A strong work ethic and duty of care and be able to contribute to a positive team approach
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Basic health and safety knowledge
  • NVQ2 in Front of House Reception or similar is desirable

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As Night Concierge you will provide first contact and security to the customers at night within a supported housing scheme. The post-holder will be responsible for controlling access to the building, dealing with emergencies, carrying out Health and Safety checks and communicating any concerns or events to the rest of the team.

This is an active evening role which will require a high level of diligence, keen observation skills and great interpersonal skills.

We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. You’ll work on a rota basis between the hours of 7pm and 07:00am and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays.
