You’ll be working with people who are struggling with alcohol misuse and other substance-related issues, helping them access the support they need. It’s all about being a friendly, supportive advocate who ensures their health and social needs are met. Plus, you'll be working closely with other services to make sure everyone gets the help they deserve.

Main duties of the job
As part of the Harm Reduction Social Support Team you will provides assertive outreach to drug and alcohol users across Leeds and work with all partners attached to Forward Leeds and external services. You will provide enhanced social support such as housing, benefits and wrap around provision.
You will be part of a dynamic and responsive team so a positive attitude and a willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of our service users is essential. You will be working in accordance with the values of St Anne’s Community Services and the Forward Leeds consortium.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Included but not limited to;
Provide an effective needle syringe provision, ensuring clients receive effective specialist harm reduction advice and equipment appropriate to their drug use.
Provide overdose information and advice and train service users in the use of Naloxone.
Provide clients with in-depth specialist safer injecting advice and advice about the harms caused by alcohol.
