Job overview

We are recruiting for a Senior Content Designer to work within our Security engagement team in our Cyber Operations function. 

Cyber Operations purpose is to support safe care and build public trust by building NHS England’s cyber resilience and enabling the wider health system to be cyber resilient, supporting Transformation Directorate’s purpose of delivering the best care and outcomes for the NHS.

Security engagement is at the heart of Cyber Operations. The Security Engagement Team have a dual role within Cyber Operations; one of supporting and improving cyber awareness within NHS England but also supporting an increase in cyber posture within the wider health and care sector through key messaging.

Main duties of the job

About the role

·       Responsibility for ensuring that content performance has clear performance metrics, with proven experience of setting up and monitoring content performance across the content lifecycle, across outcomes and outputs.

·       Be responsible for content quality and editorial processes, responding to programme priorities, multiple deadlines, changing product requirements and budgetary constraints.

 

·       You will deal with incidents supporting impacted organisations through effective stakeholder engagement

  • You will be building strong relationships with internal and external partners which are critical in securing the strategic objectives of the business.
  • You will be communicating complex concepts and topics clearly, adapting the approach for different audiences and avoiding jargon.

All NHS England Cyber Security personnel must hold security clearance SC level as a minimum. To meet National Security Vetting requirements, you must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years for SC clearance. Candidates who were posted abroad for service with HM Government, Armed Forces or within a UK government role - will still be considered. More information on SC clearance can be found here.

Please make sure you meet these requirements before applying for this role. You don’t need to have SC already, however, failure to achieve the requirements for SC after offer, will result in the job offer being withdraw

  • • Proven experience of working in a creative content design role, producing and maintaining accessible content across a service, translating complex technical information into plain English.

Essential criteria
  • • Excellent written, presentational and relationship skills: able to present cohesive and persuasive reports, papers and presentations adapting written style and tone to reflect different user requirements and audiences.

  • Ability to lead and oversee the creation/publication of content and advise on complex issues (including policy and safeguarding).
  • Able to use sound judgement, policies, evidence and knowledge to make content decisions and recommendations in a fast paced environment.
