Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for Qualified Health Care Assistants to join our team working within the Surgical & Digestive Diseases Clinical Support Unit. We are looking for highly motivated, hardworking health care assistants to join established teams, who strive to deliver excellent care.

As a Healthcare Assistant you will assist individual patients with elements of basic nursing care and the implementation of programs of care under the direction of a registered nurse and contribute to the on-going support of patients and their relatives.

 

Main duties of the job

You should be able to demonstrate excellent caring and people skills.

You must also demonstrate a good verbal and written command of English, along with excellent communication/ interpersonal skills and a reasonable level of numeracy.

NVQ/Qualification Credit Framework Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent plus a Health Education England Care Certificate & experience working in a hospital setting with care of the surgical patient being essential..

The position covers working over 7 days with long days, nights & weekends. Full-time hours (37.5) although reduced hours would be given consideration for the right candidates.
