Are you a dedicated registered Pharmacy Technician looking for a new challenge within a diverse, fast paced setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to become part of an integrated clinical workforce at HMPYOI Deerbolt. Pharmacy Technicians are forming an essential part of our excellence in care long-term plan and as a result are taking on more diverse patient-facing roles. No two days are the same working in our friendly and supportive team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to support and develop the skills of pharmacy technicians to provide a varied range of services as well as some dispensary-based work. If you are interested in this post, you will need a minimum of NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy services and be a registered pharmacy technician. An accuracy checking pharmacy technician would be desirable.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To dispense, supply or administer medication including controlled drugs.
Support the delivery of medicines management services, primary care, health
promotion and education

Essential
Essential criteria
- BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical services
- Appropriate accredited technican checking qualification
- Knowledge of medicines optimisation
- Pharmacy legal requirements and controlled drug legislation
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Pharmacy Computer systems
- Substance misuse knowledge
- Has good understanding of security issues in relation to prison
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Able to prepare reports and bulletins

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
